Fundraising allows us to provide innovative equipment and services to enhance patient care and staff wellbeing. Donations to our public health service help us make our community stronger, healthier and a better place for us all to live.

This end-of-financial-year, we're encouraging everyone to 'Give local, for better care, close to home' to support fundraising projects at Grampians Health Ballarat.

Matthew Hadfield, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Grampians Health, is responsible for over 600 doctors at Grampians Health. He is also a vascular surgeon and operates on patients at Ballarat Base Hospital every week. He explains why a public health service needs the support of community donations and fundraising.

“Like all technology in our society, healthcare is developing at an incredible pace. While our staff are experts in their fields, getting access to the latest equipment and technology is incredibly expensive.”

“As a regional health service, we need to make financial choices about the equipment we have access to, and the care we can provide.”

“Fundraising allows us to provide a better and wider range of services for more people. This leads to better outcomes for our patients and allows us to deliver the best possible healthcare, close to people’s homes.”

Ballarat Health Services Foundation is the community fundraising arm of Grampians Health Ballarat. Our purpose is to ensure our community receives world-class healthcare right here, where we and our loved ones live.

We assist the community to raise money to purchase equipment, build facilities and provide programs for and with Ballarat Health Services to make our community healthier, stronger and a better place for us all to live.

We welcome donations of any size – every donation makes a difference. All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.
