Diabetes Educators

Diabetes educators provide diabetes education in the hospital, hospital clinics and community.
 
Referrals are received by fax 03 5320 6644.
 
All referrals are allocated priority at intake and patients/clients are assessed or reviewed according to priority and clinical need.

Public Clinics

The Adult Diabetes Clinic occurs five out of every six Thursdays on the third floor of the West Wing.
This clinic is has a doctor, dietetian and diabetes educator available to discuss your needs.
Patients who are not current clients of the Diabetes Clinic require a medical referral to be eligible for this clinic.
 
The Adolescent Diabetes Clinic occurs on Thursdays every six weeks on the third floor of the West Wing. This clinic is has a doctor, dietetian and diabetes educator available to discuss your needs. Patients who are not current clients of the Adolescent Diabetes Clinic require a medical referral to be eligible for this clinic.
 
Pregnant women with diabetes are seen on Thursday mornings in the antenatal clinic. Women will also been seen by a diabetes educator and a dietitian outside the antenatal clinic to help with managing their diabetes.
