Speech Pathology

Speech Pathology provides care and services to children and adults who have communication and/or swallowing disorders. This includes speech, language, voice, fluency, literacy, infant feeding, cognition and clients requiring laryngectomy / tracheostomy management.
These services are provided to all programs of Ballarat Health Services including the acute, sub-acute, residential and community programs of Ballarat Health Services. External and outreach services are also provided.
Specialist Speech Pathology clinics include:

  • Swallowing Disorders Clinic (Videofluoroscopy)
  • Speech Pathology Paediatric Assessment Clinic
  • Speech Pathology Voice/ENT Clinic
    8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday

Outpatient / Referral Information

A referral from a Medical Practitioner or Allied Health Professional is required to access speech pathology services.

Areas Serviced

External and outreach services are provided to Maryborough District Health Service, Hepburn Health Service, St John of God Hospital, Ballarat and a number of other public and private health services and residential care settings in the Grampians region.

Fees

Fees vary according to the program/group and will be discussed with the client at the time a service commences.
