Welcome to the Ballarat Health Services Maternity Unit and congratulations on your pregnancy.

The staff in the Maternity Unit are committed to the delivery of quality maternity care that acknowledges and respects the rights, cultural differences and expectations of all women and their families.

Our Maternity Unit is run by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of health professionals who provide a coordinated, family-centred  approach to your care. This supportive approach aims to ensure that you and your family have the confidence and knowledge to make informed choices.

With our rapidly growing and expanding service, the unit is the largest in the Grampians region catering for an estimated 1300 births a year. Ballarat Health Services is fully accredited by the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative.
