The Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2017 come's into effect on 19 June 2019. The Act allows medical practitioners to prescribe patients a medication to cause their death, if the person meets strict eligibility criteria and has completed the request and assessment process.
Grampians Health Ballarat complies with this Act and under the eligibility may administer medication in this manner.
