A significant milestone was recently achieved by the operating theatre team at Grampians Health, when they successfully performed Australia’s first public emergency surgery using the state-of-the-art surgical robot.
Thanks to the generosity of the Ballarat & District Lions Clubs, patients recovering at Grampians Health Ballarat now have access to a new suite of gait aids — providing vital support for those regaining mobility after surgery, illness or injury.
A generous donation from the River Birch Foundation has helped enhance stroke care at Grampians Health Ballarat. A full-time stroke coordinator position has been created at Grampians Health Ballarat through the support of the foundation. The position is also co-funded by Grampians Health.
