Ballarat Consulting Suites will be known as Specialist Clinics and will be located in a new and improved space within the Ballarat Base Hospital in Drummond Street.

From Monday 28 March, you’ll find the Specialist Clinics located in the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) on Level 3.

All patients visiting the new Specialist Clinics will need to enter via the hospital’s Drummond Street entrance or via the car park entrance on the Western side of the site. Please refer to the map below which shows the Drummond Street entrance and directions to Level 3 of BRICC. Patients visiting the Specialist Clinics should not use the Sturt Street entrance, which has been reserved for the sole use of immunocompromised Oncology Patients.

When making your way to the Specialist Clinics, you may notice some construction work taking place. This is part of the $541.6 million redevelopment of the Ballarat Base Hospital – helping to build a bigger and better hospital for all in the community. The upgraded hospital will deliver modern facilities to accommodate our growing region including a new emergency department, new theatre suite and an extra 100 inpatient and short stay beds.

Directions to the Specialist Clinics (from Monday 28 March):

• Enter the Ballarat Base Hospital through either the Eastern entry on Drummond Street or Western entry accessible from the hospital carpark.
• Undertake patient screening (where applicable).
• Follow the detour signage placed at each entry and near the route annotated below.
• Once you reach the lift within the BRICC building select Level 3.
• The Specialist Clinics reception will be immediately visible as you exit the lifts.
• Please kindly exit the hospital via the car park or Drummond Street, and not Sturt Street.
