Community Reference Groups (CRGs) across the Grampians region will provide an ongoing, formal channel of communication between the newly formed Grampians Health and its community.

We were thrilled to be able to recommence four Volunteer Programs last week: BRICC, HELP, Gandarra and BreastScreen.

It was wonderful to see Maureen and her friendly face return this week. Maureen volunteers in the Maternity Unit at Ballarat Health Services, assisting the staff with numerous tasks to help lighten the load.

Each year the board has the privilege of appointing Life Governors of Ballarat Health Services.

Last Thursday BRICC received a new Nissan X-trail for the Volunteer Driver patient transport service – generously donated by the Peter Stevens family and the Male Bag Foundation.

On Thursday 2 June, Grampians Health launched a support network for Professionals with Alzheimer’s (PALZ) in the Ballarat area.

Now in its 6th year Crazy Socks 4 Docs aims to address mental health stigma among health practitioners.

Following International Clinical Trials Day (20 May), Grampians Health reflecting on the more than 90 clinical trials the teams are currently participating in, including a world-first trial for treating preschool wheeze in Australia and New Zealand.

Ballarat Health Services – part of Grampians Health welcomes the generous final donation from the Ballarat Combined Charities Card Shop (BCCCS) of $10,000 to our end of financial year Tax Appeal for newborn hearing equipment.
