Psychology assists individuals in recovery and adjustment following illness, injury or trauma, this allows individuals to gain maximum benefit from specific health programs.
What do we do?
The Psychology Department provides specialist clinical psychology, neuropsychology, and health psychology services including assessment, treatment and intervention.
Who do we care for?
The psychology team work across the age-span in a variety of clinical areas including the acute and subacute (rehabilitation, GEM, and palliative care) inpatient settings.
We also provide outpatient service through Community Rehabilitation, Persistent Pain Program, Healthy Weight Management program, BRICC, HARP, Community Health, the Acquired Brain Injury Service, and VPRS.
How can you access this service?
Referrals for inpatient services are received via internal team processes. You may consult your treating team for details.
Referrals for outpatient services need to be directed to Central Intake. Referrals are then triaged, prioritized and clients are contacted when an appointment becomes available
