The BRICC Transport Service is a volunteer run service and is available to eligible patients requiring transport to and from BRICC for either consultations or treatment.
Where can I go?
You may be eligible for transport assistance to:
- Consultations in BRICC
- For Radiation Treatment in BRICC
- For Chemotherapy Treatment in BRICC
- For Allied Health Consultation
Provision of the service is dependent on volunteer and vehicle availability, and while every effort is made, it is not guaranteed that all requests can be accommodated.
Eligibility
- You live under 100km from BRICC
- You have no other transport options available including friends and family
- You are unable to access public transport
- Your normal transport to BRICC is not going to be available
- You can get in and out of a car independently
- You can walk a short distance from the car to BRICC independently
If you are not eligible for BRICC transport and live further than 100 km from BRICC, you may be eligible for the government Patient Transport Assistance Scheme. This provides a small subsidy to assist with the costs of travel and accommodation at these times. For more information please see the Department of Health Victorian Patient Transport Assistance Scheme (VPTAS).
