The Inpatient Complex Care Unit provides assessment and rehabilitation to patients who are generally over 65 years of age and have a complex medical diagnosis

Who we care for?

Patients we may offer care to are:

  • Those who need an assessment of their care needs after a hospital admission
  • Patients recovering from a stroke
  • Patients recovering from orthopaedic surgery
  • Those experiencing memory and thinking problems
  • Those needing wound management
  • Palliative care patients

What to expect?

Our goal is to discharge patients home with the necessary services and supports in place. Alternatively, following assessment patients may be discharged to a suitable care facility.

We work with patients to assess their level of care requirements before leaving hospital and involve family and carers throughout this process.

We believe in promoting wellness and encourage a rehabilitation approach to care and therapy.
