Our inpatient rehabilitation facility is a purpose-built facility that provides rehabilitation services to a number of regional Victorians.

What we do?

Provide rehabilitation to patients that have had an amputation, brain injury, stroke or general neurology and orthopaedic surgery.

Who we care for?

All patients needing inpatient rehabilitation across the greater Ballarat and Grampians region of Victoria.

What to expect?

Rehabilitation goals focus on restoring function and optimising lifestyle choices for patients. We assists patients to achieve their short-term and long term goals and enable their transition from hospital to living at home in the community.

Therapy is provided through an extensive multidisciplinary team that incorporates medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, speech therapy, psychology, podiatry and other disciplines as required.

For all external referrals to either our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRP) or our Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEM) please complete the referral forms and email to saw@gh.org.au
